Benevity's pricing structure includes a set-up fee and a transaction processing charge. The set-up fee varies with the nature of the integration requested by the participating business, based on the degree of customization required and the services employed. For donations processed through the Benevity Platform, the ultimate recipient charities are subject to a 7% transaction fee (plus any payment provider charges, such as for merchant account fees on credit card payments). There are no registration fees for eligible charities and no ongoing software user fees or maintenance charges.
Most typically then, 93 cents on the dollar (minus nominal payment provider charges, if applicable) are remitted to the charity. Note that the full amount of the donation is eligible for a tax receipt. The details may vary depending on the host environment, in which case users will need to refer their terms of service.
